Results: 2006 Linguistics Olympiad

I wrote two weeks ago about the then-coming 2006 International Linguistics Olympiad for high school students. It took place in Estonia last week, and now the results are in.

Bulgaria’s second team won the Team competition. Furthermore, a member of that team, a member of the other Bulgaria team, and a member of the St. Petersburg, Russia, team won the top-level prize in the Individual competition.

Congratulations all around! I hope everyone had fun doing the linguistic analyses, meeting teens from other countries, and going on the tours of Estonia included in the program.
